COVID-19 Vaccine Required For Entering Workplaces And Commercial Facilities From August

The mobile application “Tawakkalna” will be used to check the immunization status of citizens and residents.


An official source at the Ministry of Interior stated, people who have been vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine approved in Saudi Arabia will only be able to enter any government or private establishment or commercial facilities across the Kingdom, starting from Aug. 1, 2021.

In a statement on Tuesday, the official source said, based on recommendations by the competent authorities, the corona-virus vaccinated status would be mandatory for the following:

–              Participation for all economic, commercial, cultural, entertainment, or sporting activities

–              Entry for all cultural, scientific, social or entertainment events

–              Enter all government or private sectors

–              Enter to all government or private educational facilities

–              Use of public transport

The source also announced that all teachers and faculty members will return to schools next semester.

The source stressed the need for everyone to adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures, and not to be complacent in the application of health requirements, including social distancing, wearing a face mask, and continuously disinfecting hands, and compliance with the approved protocols.
