The General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) said in a statement on Wednesday that Individuals traveling to and from Saudi Arabia must strictly adhere to corona virus countermeasures at all times.
The GACA statement came a day after International flights resumed in Saudi Arabia following the decision of the Saudi authorities to exempt certain categories of Saudis and expatriates from the temporary travel ban imposed since March.
All the international airports in the Kingdom are geared up to operate flights during this phase in coordination with the ministry of health and other government agencies, GACA said, according to a Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report.
It said all passengers returning to the Kingdom shall remain in home quarantine for three days and should undergo another PCR test 48 hours after entering the Kingdom to prove they are not infected with the corona-virus. The authority said that it would update the guidelines for passengers in line with the approved health protocols.
Each airline have to clarify its regulations for passengers ahead of their flights, the GACA said. It is also the responsibility of the travelers to ensure that they follow all the health procedures of their destination country, the authority added.
