Vision 2030 roadmap for better future: King Salman addresses Shoura Council

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, in the presence of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, inaugurated the work of the eighth session of the Saudi Shoura Council on Wednesday.

The speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, has outlined plans and roadmap for a better future at the local level.

King Salman said in his speech that the Kingdom is working to complete large-scale projects to facilitate the performance of pilgrims and that it was keen to prepare for the Hajj pilgrimage under the exceptional circumstances of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Saudi Arabia also supported international efforts to contain the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic globally, the king added.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirmed that Saudi Arabia’s presidency of G20 enables it to lead global efforts to reform the global economic system and it will also continue its work for ensuring the stability of oil supplies, providing aid to developing and needy countries, supporting the fair international issues, condemning all forms of violence, rejecting extremism and terrorism and achieving stability for the region and the world.

The king said Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is a roadmap for a better future for the Kingdom, citing its impact on improving government services and raising the percentage of house ownership as examples.

He added that Vision 2030 is working to empower women and continues to develop entertainment, sports, and tourism in the Kingdom.
